The Challenge
The client needed a custom machine for producing stuffed pizza balls at consistent size and quality. The process required controlled dough forming, accurate filling placement, reliable closing of the dough around the filling, and final shaping into a uniform ball suitable for downstream freezing and packaging.
The Approach
Developed a dedicated mechanical system around the complete forming process. The machine guides and positions the dough, prepares it for filling, introduces the required stuffing, closes the dough around the filling, and forms the finished product into a consistent ball shape. The design focused on repeatability, food-production suitability, clean mechanical integration, accessibility, and manufacturability.
The Outcome
Delivered a production-ready custom machine design for automated stuffed pizza ball production. The system combines multiple forming and handling operations into one coordinated process, helping the customer achieve consistent product geometry while reducing manual handling and preparing the product for freezing and final packaging.
